Well, I wish I could say I had a great positive update for you since my last post regarding the events and me having a seizure, but I don't. I have gone to see my regular practitioner, which was what I needed to do in order to get a referral to go to a neurologist so I saw my general practitioner and she evaluated me, and she agreed that based on my symptoms after the events in a bit during that it seems like I possibly did have a seizure, but not discovering the reason why I had it is a whole Nother thing Admitted that I go see a neurologist, so I got my referral from my primary care doctor. So it would seem all that's next is the schedule an appointment with the neurologist. Unfortunately, it seems that the neurology department is constantly and always busy and booked. My primary care doctor even let me know this situation and suggested a doctor that was upstairs in the same building as she was. So I personally went up to see if I can get an appointment on the books. Sadly, though I was unable to get one for this year. That's right I said this year. They are fully booked until January 2025 for new patients and therefore it doesn't matter how urgent or serious my situation may possibly be, because I still can't see this doctor until next year. This unfortunately is very discerning and not what I need. I have also attempted to call the referral number that they gave me and told them that I needed to schedule an appointment with the neurologist and I'd like to schedule an appointment as soon as possible within this year or with in the next few months if possible. Unfortunately they called all the neurologist department all the doctors I guess under their plan, to see if there is an available appointment soon and unfortunately they either didn't have any appointments within the next six months or sooner or they didn't accept my insurance and so it's just kind of like well, kep calling and try other doctors and facilities that may also take your insurance and good luck.

So now it seems that it is now up to me to look up other providers that are excepted by my insurance and seeing if they have any availability. I have not done that part yet. I guess really just having to call numerous doctors is not something that's on my list of fun things I want to do so honestly. I have just kind of been pushing it back.

I have a website up on my computer actually with several neurologist offices within a pretty close distance that I can call I just need to do it. It's just honestly really frustrating that our healthcare system works this way. I can see where because of the way the healthcare system can work sometimes and the lack of urgency for care for certain people or certain situations or the availability of care, can leave someone who needs that service, feeling hopeless and like tired and just not wanting to deal with it because it's so much hassle and so much work and the anxiety and stress just pushes them to end up just not even doing it and not wanting to do it because of how difficult of a time it can be just to get the care and health services you need so you can better yourself. It shouldn't be that difficult that it leas you to just say "whatever I'll just deal with it."

Things should definitely be changed and I don't think it's all like that and I don't think every person within the healthcare system is a bad person. There are definitely some great and amazing people within our healthcare system, but there are some things I absolutely think could use some changing and some adjustments so we can ensure that everyone is receiving optimal care within a timely fashion.

That's really the update I have for you which really feels like there is not much of an update because I still haven't seen a neurologist, but I guess I'll have to update you when I eventually call these neurologist to schedule an appointment. So now it's just a matter of finding a doctor that is actually caring and takes the time to try to figure out what happened because now it's happened like a month ago so the further it gets out the harder it is to possibly you know, diagnose and understand but I'm gonna do it. I will stop procrastinating and hopefully the next update will be a positive one because I'll have an appointment scheduled sooner than next year anyways, wish me luck and I'll see you next time.
